Ashtanga First Series (short)

The Modified Primary Series is based on the Full Primary Series designed by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and made accessible to all. The class begins with sun salutations, standing poses and balancing asanas, and finishes with seated forward-folds, twists, backbends and inversions. The primary focus is physical cleansing, synchronization of breath and movement. This class is open to practitioners of all levels and offers also easy to learn modifications depending on the level of the individual.

Full Primary Series

Experience the full primary series sequence of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, offering further asanas to enhance and round out the Primary Series practice. This class is not recommended for those with little or no yoga experience. This is one of the fast paced yoga styles that includes arm balancing, back bends, and inversions and builds endurance and breath. Modifications are possible for all poses.
