Family Yoga Workshop

Share the love of Yoga with the entire Family.

Sunday 25 February 2018 starting at 10.00am until 11.00am

Traditionally Yoga is a solitary practice, the art of uniting with our entire self. However, when practiced in a group we absorb courage and solidarity from all the people surrounding us and this strengthens the spirit even more.

What if this group includes our children? Their pure energy and vivid imagination and also their enthusiasm can turn a yoga session into a family experience. An hour of family yoga is an opportunity to hold space and time so that we can care and support each other. We can practice playfully, break some rules, discover something new and also breathe together. Children learn to trust and expand, parents remember how it feels to be restless and witty. The workshop will be mostly in English. If necessary Despina can explain a few shortchanged things in French as well).

Children and parents of all ages are welcome!

Yoga for people who can’t touch their toes – second edition

Sunday 4 March – 10.00am – 12.00pm

After we explored the stiffest yogis’ complains last October, we are back with another session for people who can’t touch their toes!

Join Sinziana on March 4th to find out about how your body is unique and wonderful, what are the sources of flexibility or lack of thereof, how your mind is actually running the show and your nervous central system has its foot on the emergency breaks… We’ll explore the fascinating fascia and the sacred sarcomeres, the strains of tension and the last frontiers of compression in order to address rigid ranges of movement and confining compensatory patters.

This will be an interactive session which includes a fun practice. Bring comfortable clothes, maybe a notebook, your curiosity and thirst for knowledge, be open to explore your body and your mind and take home a more comprehensive practice!

Saturday 17 March from 14.30 to 16.30

Experience meditation with the founder & teacher behind the meditation app THIRD EAR, Leo Cosendai. The celebrated sound meditation & mindfulness teacher will lead you through a special 2-hour workshop working on your ability to perceive and use sound and breath as a tool for entrainment
and self-care.

These 2 hours will be dedicated to the exploration of your subconscious mind as well as the acceptation of your conscious mind- a very therapeutic and transformational experience. The frequencies emitted by Leo’s instruments enable the unfolding and creation of fresh neuro connections and stimulation of blood currents into the frontal lobe whilst you are taken on a journey of the mind.

Working from the inside out, Leo’s practice also include powerful breath work, which is also known to help clearing away contemporary obstacles like anxiety and insomnia.

The class will include: Gong bath + Breath work + Group Chanting.

Suitable for beginners but challenging for everyone regardless of experience on the mat. Please bring water. Avoid eating before the workshop

– Micro-nutrition principles of a healthy breakfast and also discovering different ingredients to cook with (chia seeds, azuki flakes, coconut flour…)

The workshop will be lead by Sabine. She has 2 Masters in food science & nutrition as well as Professional training in micro-nutrition. She was also a Ballet dancer for 30 years, and made almost all types of nutritional mistakes that were possible (anorexia, low calorie diet, …) which lead logically to chronic injuries. Now as a result she is suffering from several food sensibilities. She has learned (the hard way) to listen to her body and adopt a healthier and more diversified diet as well as a new way of cooking. She is persuaded that our food is our first medicine and wishes to share her knowledge.

Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga Workshops are great for teaching the foundation of the Ashtanga Vinyasa practice. Participants receive focused attention and also benefit from hands-on adjustments. This will give them the foundation to build on their yoga practice correctly, safely and with strength and understanding. This workshop does not require a specific fitness level becausethe participant will work within their abilities. This is a great place to start if you have experience in a softer form of hatha yoga. It is also perfect for a beginner to Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga or a person looking to review postures and placement. Both experienced yoga students and beginners are welcome. Also, absolutely no experience with yoga is necessary.

Advance Your Practice Yoga Workshop

In our 3-hour Advance Your Practice Yoga Workshops students gain deeper understanding to their yoga practice. We focus on philosophy and also on yoga language. You will also gain deeper practical knowledge of yoga. This workshop covers more complex Yoga asanas (or postures) in step-by-step detail. The student can understand where they should be and also what they can work on in each asana. Students will leave with knowledge to enhance their practice in or out of class. Highly recommended also for those practicing Full Primary Series or wishing to.Both experienced yoga students and beginners are welcome. Also, absolutely no experience with yoga is necessary.

A fun and unique date for you and your partner. Couples Yoga Workshops guide students through a series of deeply relaxing yoga assists and simple yoga massage techniques. This fun and noncompetitive workshop is designed to build trust, communication, joy, and intimacy through the power of compassionate touch. Both experienced yoga students and beginners are welcome. Also, absolutely no experience with yoga is necessary. We love to welcome all to these fun and lighthearted yoga workshops.
