Organisations we support

As a for-profit Social Enterprise, we often run donation and fundraising events and classes for organisations we support.

We choose organisations working to alleviate human suffering, are apolitical and working or based in Belgium and Brussels.

Here is a list of the organisations we donate to from our fundraising funds.

Community Help Service (CHS)

CHS has supported the international community of Belgium since 1971, regardless of nationality or circumstances.

No one should feel alone - help is only a telephone call away.

CHS operates a Mental Health Services Centre in Brussels, housing an international team of professional therapists who support a comprehensive range of mental health issues.

The therapists are supported by volunteers who also manage the administrative aspects of CHS, a non-profit organisation.

All their therapists speak English, and many also work in other languages.

They also operate a 24/7 Helpline in English for children, adolescents and adults.

A team of volunteers staff the helpline supervised and supported by mental health professionals working with CHS; calls are free of charge, anonymous and confidential.

SAMUSOCIAL

The Samusocial of Brussels provides assistance to homeless people and to asylum seekers. Its missions consist of:

  • Intervening close to people in distress, people who are wandering in the streets of Brussels, in order to offer them primary assistance (accommodation, medical care, psychological assistance, meals, shower);

  • Reestablishing a humanitarian relationship and, if the person wishes so, leading him/her towards street exit solutions.

The Samusocial of Brussels welcomes more than 1,500 homeless persons every night in Brussels.

The help provided is immediate, thanks to the action of our mobile teams and to our emergency reception centres.

However, this help is also meant to support homeless people over a very long period of time. Indeed, our main goal is to lead homeless people towards realistic solutions in order to get them off the street.

The Samusocial of Brussels has developed and implemented different reception centres with the purpose to offer the most accurate assistance and accompaniment, depending and based on the person being helped.
